Boiler Valve

Function:
The boiler valve controls the pressure and temperature inside the boiler. In espresso machines, it regulates the amount of steam or hot water flowing to other parts of the machine.
It helps maintain the correct pressure within the boiler to ensure efficient espresso extraction.
Types:

Steam Valves: Control the flow of steam, used for frothing milk or generating steam for other purposes.
Water Valves: Control the flow of hot water from the boiler, used for brewing coffee.
Maintenance:
Over time, mineral deposits (such as lime) may accumulate inside the boiler valve due to hard water, affecting its efficiency. Regular cleaning is recommended.
If the valve starts leaking or becomes difficult to open or close, it may need to be replaced.
Components:
The valve typically consists of:
Spring: To regulate pressure.
Handle or switch: For opening and closing the valve.
Body: Containing the internal valve mechanism.
Operation:
When the machine is running, the boiler valve directs steam or hot water from the boiler to the necessary components (such as the brew group or steam wand). When the valve is closed, the steam and water are contained within the boiler.
